We got up real early one morning and walked over to St. Peters as it opened. I must admit I was super grumpy about having to be up. But in the end (once it was 10 am and the place was too full of people to get a good look at anything) I was grateful Eric was such a vacation nazi.

Look very closely and you will see the bronze skeleton coming out of the "crypt." He's holding and hour glass in the escaping hand. It was my second most favorite part of the whole place.

And of course, the 3 bears, dragged me up to the top of St. Peter's. All 320 winding, narrow, steps.
