We're So Stylish
For my mom's 50th birthday we threw her a surprise party. Once, when I was younger, I had a conversation with her about how we couldn't wait to be old so we could sport pink hair and fabulously bold clothing. So, when I found The Advanced Style blog I knew it had to be the theme for the party!
We made invitations using the fabulous 90-year old fashion icon - Iris Apfel as our poster stylish woman. Using some inspiration from Amanda Jones, we sent parties in a box to some of her friends far away and had them send us pictures of themselves to display at the party.
The night of the party I got an email update with the latest update from MAC cosmetics - guess who their latest celebrity inspiration is! Iris Apfel! I guess we aren't the only ones who think her style is worth imitating!
