So, like I said before, I love my job. I love middle school kids. They say "Thank you for all that you do and remember that I love you!" in so many ways. And most of those ways include expletives of some sort. Or a nod of the head and a grunt. But all jokes aside, I love them all.
But as of late, our school has been overcast by an apocalyptic doom and gloom. Tests, reviews and parent/teacher conferences are coming up, no one has been outside in the daylight for months, and it seems that everyone is at their wits end.
So, this morning, over chocolate chip pancakes and juice (because who is ever sad with chocolate chip pancakes in their mouth!?) my homeroom decided that we were going to begin - dun, dun-dun-dun!- "the happiness project"
We are going to put up stellar work in the hallways. We are going to make funny awards for people. We are going to hold minute-to-win-it contests every thursday in homeroom. We are going to put inspirational quotes on doorways. We are going to write secret notes and tell people how great they are. And maybe, most importantly, we are going to start our homeroom everyone morning with something that makes us laugh.
This is where I need help. I have a file on my computer of all things funny that will last me only 3 days... If you find any youtube videos, commercials, ads, cute cats with their heads stuck in a jar, please send them on. We need all the happiness we can get!!
