resolution #6

Resolution #6 this year was to read at least 2 books a month. As I proudly announced my new resolution to Eric he wisely asked, "how is that any different from last year? Didn't you read more than that?" I had to admit that 2 was quite an arbitrary number because I had no idea how many books I read last year.

So now I am going to add it all up and give myself a lofty goal based on my current performance.

1. Mere Christianity
2. Life of Pi
3. The Audacity of Hope
4. Water for Elephants
5. City of God
6. In the Casa Azul
7. The Reader
8. Madame Bovary (surprisingly fantastic)
9. Letters to a Young Teacher
10. The Sun Also Rises
11. Secret Garden
12. The Brief Wonderous life of Oscar Wao
13. Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close
14. 5 quarters of the Orange
15. The Zahir
16. in Defense of Food
17. Wobegone Boy
18. The Heart of the Matter

Well.... that's all I can think of. Turns out 2 a month would be juuuuuuust right.

Read anything GREAT lately?

I wish I found more time for reading. I enjoy reading epic fantasy like lord of the rings style. So my recommendations would be The Eye of the World by Robert Jordan or The Sword of Truth by Terry Goodkind... but I'm guessing based on last years reading, you might be more interested in reading something like "The Universe in a Single Atom" or "See Yourself as you Really Are" by the Dalai Llama, those were pretty good.
Oh, if you come up on a month where you don't have as much time for reading, here's a short one that's really good: "The Richest Man in Babylon"
Kudos on the Awesome Resolution!
