Back Tracking

One of the strange things about living in the world is that it is only now and then one is quite sure one is going to live forever and ever and ever. One knows it sometimes when one gets up at the tender solemn dawn-time and goes out and stands alone and throws one's head far back and looks up and up and watches the pale sky slowly changing and flushing and marvelous unknown things happening until the East almost makes one cry out and one's heart stands still at the strange unchanging majesty of the rising of the sun—which has been happening every morning for thousands and thousands and thousands of years. One knows it then for a moment or so...

I am finally getting
around to writing about our fabulous valentine week. We had school off for an entire week last week. It was WONDERFUL! We spent the morning of day 1 watching the sunrise on the Brooklynn Bridge despite the intense and chilly wind! I love sunrises. I love the promise of the day. There is no disappointment or regret in a sunrise. Just excitement for what can be.

We then had breakfast at an adorable but fairly overpriced cafe that serves water and pudding out of mason jars! From now on all of you can expect to get your drinks at our house out of a mason jar. So fulfilling! Then we went home to crash in bed by 10am. It was a great day one of valentines week.
