To celebrate fall my students and I read A Tell-Tale Heart yesterday. Oh course they thought it was dumb at first. Then they all became quiet and expectant. And then they all became terrified. And then outraged that he would even consider giving up because of a silly heart beat!



"Villains!" I shrieked, "dissemble no more! I admit the deed! -- tear up the planks! -- here, here! -- it is the beating of his hideous heart!"
