Sorry that we have been lax about posting pictures of Italy. It seems to take forever to upload photos! My sister-in-law was telling us about how we can upload a bunch at once from Picasa albums but I can't seem to figure it out. Any tips techie genius'?
Anyway, here is San Martin - up in the Italian Alps. Absolutely gorgeous and one of my most favorite places we visited.

We saw these tiny specks up on top of the mountain and assumed they were electrical of some sort. Turns out they were electrical but not what we thought.
It was to carry people up to the very tip top of the mountain!
So, of course we had to go to the tip top.

We celebrated our "tough" trek to the top of the mountain by snacking on trail mix. A sneaky almond broke my tooth. It happened so suddenly and without any pain. It was really quite traumatizing! We buried my tooth on top of the mountain. Part of me will forever be in San Martin. (a tiny, craggly piece of me) I bet you are jealous.
Had lunch at the restaurant on the top of the mountain! (I slurped soup)
Did some hiking.
The next day Eric and I went exploring among the mountain roads. It was incredible.
We found where the hills were alive...
And from there we had a great vantage point for watching some 30 odd cows hold up traffic while they meandered across the road.
