It blew my mind so much that I didn't think about it again until high school science. We actually cut out the pictures. It was amazing!
Then, in college we learned about the glacier patterns, and the mountain ranges, and the fossils in south america and africa. I loved it! To think ... we could have been next-door neighbors with the English, and India and africa could have shared a border. How is this not cool!?!?!
(this is a fairly accurate representation of several students' reaction to my excited explanation of the pangea theory. Yes, that is supposed to be drool and yes, that is really how glazed their eyes looked... not just my amazing artistic skills)
Obviously it isn't to every one. Or else my 6th graders are good at feigning complete and udder boredom. Well, I'll just take the continent puzzle home and play by myself. Anyone want to join??

I LOVE PANGEA TOO!! I'll come over and do a continent puzzle with you. Pangea blows my mind because to think that this phenomenon that happened so many thousands of years ago has so many repercussions on the dynamics of our world today.
I was all about the concept of pangea too. I also like jokes about people who look old coming from Pangea. Tell your 6th graders to get with it, alright?
I also have a fascination with Pangea. I excelled at Geography because everything fit together like the puzzle and made it so easy to understand. I'm sure some of your students will love it as much as you do.
