I've been spending a lot of time digging around online archives while doing genealogy work. I especially love the old New York Times archives. There is something weirdly comforting in seeing the newspaper I read every day existing long before I existed.
One of the coolest things I have found is an article from 1948 about an exhibit at the American Museum of Natural History (one of my most favorites in the whole world!). The Exhibit was on "Superstition, Prejudice and Fear." The article says:
But the best part of all is the display of the calendar created by Sophia Vambo in which there are 13 months of the year and the 13th falls on a Friday during every month. Apparently it was being proposed as a legitimate change....
